A very rare and spectacular vintage 1961 46 year old Glenfarclas Highland single malt scotch whisky from the Premium Casks limited edition botttling series, bottled on 7th February 2008 in a limited edition of only 458 individually numbered bottles without added dyes and chill filtration at cask strength 45.4% ABV exclusively for Germany and the Hanseatische Weinhandelsgesellschaft in Bremen.
This exceptional and well aged heavily-sherried Speyside single malt and special masterpiece consists of the marriage of 3 first fill Oloroso sherry casks with cask no. 1319, distilled on 14th March 1961; cask no. 1321, distilled on 15th March 1961 and cask no.1, distilled on 28th December 1961.
This magnificent old style dark sherry Glenfarclas Highland single malt scotch whisky has a beautiful dark mahogany colour, shows an extraordinary quality, is complex, absolutely outstanding and a very rare rarity from the old cask cellar of Glenfarclas - almost impossible to find today and a special recommendation for whisky-collectors and connoisseurs of exclusive and old Scotch whiskies!
