A very rare and stunning vintage 1961 48 years old Glenfarclas Highland single malt scotch whisky from the Premium Casks limited edition The Spirit of Indepence botttling series, bottled on 7th December 2009 in a limited edition of only 336 individually numbered bottles without added dyes and chill filtration at cask strength 50.5% ABV exclusively for Germany and the Hanseatische Weinhandelsgesellschaft in Bremen.
This exceptional and heavily-sherried Speyside Single Malt and Glenfarclas Masterpiece consists of the marriage of 2 first fill Oloroso sherry casks with cask no. 3052 and 3053, distilled on 29th September 1961 and matured in the casks for over 48 years.
This magnificent old style Dark Sherry Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky from the early 1960s has a beautiful dark amber colour, is of exceptional quality, complex, absolutely outstanding and a particularly rarity from the old Glenfarclas warehouse cellar - almost impossible to find today and a special recommendation for connoisseurs, the discerning whisky collector and lovers of exclusive and old Scotch whiskies!
