A very rare and terrific vintage 1971 28 year old Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Christmas Highland Single Malt Edition and limited rare bottling 2000 from 2 special sherry casks. For this, Glenfarclas filled 2 sherry casks with the cask nos. 5959 and 5960 on Christmas Eve in the year 1971, these were allowed to mature for over 28 years and were bottled on 20th January 2000 without the addition of dyes and chill filtration at cask strength 53.1% abv with the Christmas label for the Hanseatische Weinhandelsgesellschaft in Bremen in an edition of only 543 individually numbered bottles.
One of the few and special Christmas bottlings of Glenfarclas, the only one from 1971 in extraordinary quality, complex, absolutely first class and special recommendation for connoisseurs and whisky-collectors of fine old Scotch whiskies.
