A very rare and stunning vintage 1977 41 year old Glenfarclas Scotch Whisky from the limited Family Cask Winter 2019 series and special bottling from a selected 1st fill sherry hogshead from the year 2019. For this purpose, a selected sherry hogshead with the cask no. 7293 was filled with distillate at Glenfarclas in the year 1977, the cask was allowed to mature for 41 years in the old Glenfarlclas warehouse and was bottled on 18th October 2019 without the addition of dyes and chill filtration in an edition of only 210 bottles at cask strength 58.5% vol. as Winter release W19.
Since Glenfarclas now has almost no more casks from the 1970s in its old warehouse and there will therefore no longer be a supply of these particularly old and outstanding whiskies, the vintage 1970s Glenfarclas single cask bottlings are now among the exceptional specimens of whisky history and are sought-after rarities.
