The Glenfarclas Highland single malt was distilled in 1978, matured for 24 years in selected sherry casks and was bottled in the year 2002 without the addition of colourants and chill filtration in a limited edition of 1.200 individually numbered bottles at cask strength 53.3% vol.
Since 1996, Glenfarclas has released a series of limited edition bottlings and each bottling is dedicated to a famous Scottish figure in history. The series continues to this day, each bottling is limited and usually sold out within a very short time.
