For this purpose, a sherry cask with the cask no. 11052 was filled at Glenfarclas on Christmas Eve in 1980, this was matured for almost 22 years in the old cask cellar of Glenfarclas and was bottled on 9th December 2002 with the Christmas label in an edition of only 557 individually numbered bottles without the addition of colouring and chill filtration at cask strength 54.3% vol.
