This rare vintage 1988 28 year old Glenfarclas Highland single malt Scotch whisky is number 20 of the Special Limited Edition series for the Scottish physicist James Clerk Maxwell from the year 2016. The Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt was distilled in the year 1988, matured for 28 years in selected sherry casks with the cask nos 6867, 6982, 6987, 6988 and was bottled in April 2016 in a limited edition of 2.400 individually numbered bottles without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at 46.0% vol.
Since 1996, Glenfarclas has released a series of limited edition bottlings and each bottling is dedicated to a famous Scottish figure in history. The series continues to this day, each bottling is limited and usually sold out within a very short time.
