A rare and magnificent vintage 1975 40 year old Glenglassaugh Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky, distilled on 18th June 1975 and bottled after 40 years maturation in the old warehouse in oak cask no. 3171 and the finish in a spanish Pedro Ximenez sherry hogshead in the Rare Cask Release single cask bottling limited edition series as batch no. 2 in September 2015 without the addition of colourants and chill filtration in an edition of only 205 individually hand-numbered bottles at cask strength 40.2% vol.
This exceptional vintage 1975 40 years Glenglassaugh Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky was personally selected by Master Distiller Billy Walker for the Rare Cask Release limited single cask bottling series and has a wonderfully sweet, intense nose with oranges, peach, lemons, apricots, cherries, wood, tobacco, vanilla and nuts, the flavour is oily and fruity with strong spices, oranges, apricots, dates, fine oak, tobacco and cloves, the finish is medium long, warm, sweet and fruity - a marvellous Glenglassaugh Highland Single Malt!
