A rare and outstanding vintage 1978 35 year old Glenglassaugh Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 1978 and matured for 35 years in bourbon casks and finished in selected Massandra Madeira Puncheon casks in the limited Massandra Connection Limited Rare Cask series in a limited edition of 1320 bottles bottled on 7 April 2014 without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at 41.7% vol.
The Massandra winery is considered the pearl of the Crimean peninsula and is still known today for its excellent wines and Madeira. Massandra is the oldest winery in Ukraine, built in 1894 to supply the Russian Tsar Nicholas II and his court with wine and sparkling wine.
This exceptional and exclusive vintage 1978 35 years Glenglassaugh Highland Single Malt Sotch Whisky was personally selected by Master Distiller Billy Walker for the Massandra Connection Limited Single Cask Bottling series and bottled in a limited edition without the addition of colouring and chill-filtration at 41.7% vol.
