This rare and magnificent vintage 1989 15 year old Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled on 4th April 1989 and, after than more than 15 years of maturation in a sherry hogshead with cask no. 1204, was bottled in May 2005 in the Duncan´s Choice limited single cask edition without added colouring or chill filtration in a limited edition of only 350 individually numbered bottles at natural cask strength 55.7% vol. and is presented in a solid wooden box.
This great Glengoyne Highland single malt scotch whisky is named Duncans Choice because it was chosen by stillman Duncan McNicoll and bottled at the Glengoyne distillery in his honour and contribution. The bottle label features a photograph of Duncan McNicoll and each bottle bears his signature.
A very successful and outstanding dark walnut coloured Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky and one of only 10 known vintage 1989 bottlings from the Highland distillery Glengoyne, which is very hard to find today, is considered absolutely first class and received 91 points from Serge / WhiskyFun.
