This rare and magnificent vintage 1989 18 years old Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled on 6th July 1989 and, after than more than 18 years of maturation in a Amontillado sherry hogshead with cask no. 1202, was bottled in September 2007 in the Billy s Choice limited single cask edition without added colouring or chill filtration in a limited edition of only 249 individually numbered bottles at natural cask strength 55.7% vol. and is presented in a solid wooden box.
This great Glengoyne Highland single malt scotch whisky is named Billy s Choice because it was chosen by warehouseman William Edmiston and bottled at the Glengoyne distillery in his honour and contribution. The bottle label features a photograph of William Edmiston and each bottle bears his signature.
An extremely successful and dark walnut coloured Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky and one of only 10 known vintage 1989 bottlings from the famous Highland distillery Glengoyne, which is very rarely found today and is considered absolutely outstanding by connoisseurs.
