A very rare vintage 1966 37 years-old Highland Park Orkney Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the famous Peerless Cask Strength Rare Auld edition by Duncan Taylor, which was distilled in May 1966 and after over 37 years of maturation in oak cask no. 4642 bottled in September 2003 without the addition of dyes and chill filtration in a batch of only 169 individually hand-numbered bottles at cask strength 41.3% vol. This terrific and well aged 37 years-old Highland Park Orkney Single Cask Scotch Whisky has a beautiful amber colour and is a delight due to its maturity and complexity.
The whiskies offered between 2002 and 2011 by Duncan Taylor in the Peerless Cask Strength Rare Auld Edition acquired by Abe Rosenberg since the early 1960s come from the more than 4000 casks of selected premium distilleries, such as Aberlour, Ben Riach, Bowmore, Brora, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caperdonich, Clynelish, Dallas Dhu, Dalmore, Glen Grant, Glen Moray, Glenburgie, Glenesk, Glenlivet, Glenlossie, Glenrothes, Inchgower, Knockando, Linlithgow, Laphroaig, Longmorn, Macallan, Macduff, Miltonduff, Old Pulteney, Springbank, Strathisla, Strathmill, Tamdhu and Tomatin and are all bottled as single cask whiskies in limited editions.
