A very rare vintage 1968 37 years-old Highland Park Orkney single malt scotch whisky from the famous Cask Strength Rare Auld Limited Single Cask Edition by Duncan Taylor, which was distilled in March 1968 and after more than 37 years of maturation in oak cask no. 3459 bottled in July 2005 without the addition of dyes and chill filtration in a batch of only 133 individually hand-numbered bottles at cask strength 40.9% vol. This outstanding 37 years-old Highland Park Orkney single malt scotch whisky has a beautiful amber colour and is a delight due to its maturity and complexity.
The whiskies offered between 2002 and 2011 by Duncan Taylor in the Peerless Cask Strength Rare Auld Edition acquired by Abe Rosenberg since the early 1960s come from the more than 4000 casks of selected premium distilleries, such as Aberlour, Ben Riach, Bowmore, Brora, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caperdonich, Clynelish, Dallas Dhu, Dalmore, Glen Grant, Glen Moray, Glenburgie, Glenesk, Glenlivet, Glenlossie, Glenrothes, Inchgower, Knockando, Linlithgow, Laphroaig, Longmorn, Macallan, Macduff, Miltonduff, Old Pulteney, Springbank, Strathisla, Strathmill, Tamdhu and Tomatin and are all bottled as single cask whiskies in limited editions.
