A great vintage 1978 33 year old Highland Park Orkney Single Malt Scotch Whisky and the last edition from the Vintage Collection series, distilled in 1978 and after 33 years of maturation in selected oak casks bottled in the year 2011 without added colourings and chill filtration in a limited edition exclusively for the Global Travel Retail market at 47.8% vol.
The limited Highland Park Vintage Collection is a homage to the Vikings love of travel. Presented with a flyer on the creation of this wonderful Orkney single malt in a beautiful massive oak box, the presentation is designed to showcase the skills of Viking craftsmanship with wood as well as the Norse heritage of Orkney. The front shows an ornate dragon s head like the Viking ships, the year 1978 as well as the symbol of Highland Park were embedded in the wood with silver-coloured emblems. The inside was also ornately decorated and the back depicted Highland Park s home, the Orkney Islands.
