This fine vintage 1996 21 year old Highland Park Orkney Islands Single Malt Scotch whisky was distilled on 27th June 1996, matured for 21 years in a refill American hogshead with the cask no. 1772 and was bottled on 10th July 2017 by Gordon and MacPhail in the Reserve Limited Single Cask Edition exclusively for Kirsch Whisky in Germany without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at 46.0% vol. in an edition of only 297 bottles.
The independent bottler Gordon and MacPhail bottled their single malts for many well-known distilleries decades ago. As an original bottler, it saved the best casks for later. Selected bourbon and sherry casks were used almost exclusively for the many decades of maturation.
