The magnificent and rare 25-year-old release 2010 Highland Park Orkney Islands Single Malt Scotch whisky is one of the oldest Scotch whiskies currently available from the Scottish noble distillery, which is based on the Orkney Islands. This 25-year-old Highland Park Orkney Islands single malt Scotch whisky was matured in selected Spanish first fill sherry casks and was bottled in the year 2010 without the addition of colourants at 48.1% vol. in a limited edition.
The 25 years Highland Park Orkney Islands Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been bottled since the mid-1990s and has been part of Highland Park s standard range since the year 2004. The early bottlings were mainly matured in first fill sherry casks, current releases are mostly in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks.
This exquisite 25 years release 2010 Highland Park Orney Islands Single Malt Scotch whisky is very complex on the nose with fine sherry, dried fruit, sultanas, nuts, Christmas cake, dark chocolate and fresh leather, the flavour is spicy with dry sherry, fine oak, tannins, some smoke, sultanas, blueberries, white chocolate and chilli, the finish is long and dry with plums, tannins, subtle smoke and oak - an extremely successful and exciting Highland Park Orkney Islands single malt!
