The Highland Park Odin Orkney Islands Single Malt Scotch whisky is the 4th bottling of four special bottlings from Highland Park s limited Valhalla Collection, matured for 16 years in selected sherry casks and refill hogsheads and was bottled in the years 2015 without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at 55.8% vol.
Highland Park Odin from the Valhalla Collection, which celebrates the ancient Norse gods, is dedicated to the All-Father of the Norse gods and ruler of Asgard. Odin has an extremely intensely complex character and known as the Furious One, he is not only fierce and furious in battle and feared more than any other god, but is also driven by an unquenchable thirst for wisdom. By sacrificing one eye for a drink from the well of wisdom, he gained immeasurable knowledge and insight. With only one eye that shines like the sun, Odin cuts a ominous figure. Dramatic horns protrude from Odin s helmet, representing his ravens Huginn and Munin. To further quench his thirst for knowledge, the birds faithfully circle the Nine Realms every day, bringing back secrets and news from across Odin s domain.

The Highland Park Odin shines in the taste with fine vanilla, caramel, oak, some Oloroso sherry, some citrus, very mild smoke and a fine buttery note, the finish is very strong and long with sherry, vanilla, oak, nuts and mild smoke.
