The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Brora Limited Edition 2017 Special Blended Scotch whisky is the first edition of the limited Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare series and was bottled in the year 2017 in individually numbered bottles without chill filtration in a limited edition at 46.0% vol.
The Johnnie Walker Ghost and Rare Brora Special Blend Scotch whisky was a highly anticipated limited edition from Johnnie Walker in 2017, featuring single malts selected by master blender Jim Beveridge from lost distilleries in their blend.
This first edition of the Johnnie Walker Ghost and Rare series is dedicated to the Highland distillery Brora, which closed in 1983 and is known for its smoky, peppery whiskies. In addition to the Brora single malt, the Johnnie Walker Ghost and Rare Brora Limited Edition contains blended Scotch whisky from two other closed distilleries: Cambus Grain and Pittyvaich single malt, as well as five other rare whiskies from the Cameronbridge, Clynelish, Glenkinchie, Glenlossie and Royal Lochnagar distilleries that are still in operation.
The first edition from the Johnnie Walker Ghost and Rare series consists of single malt whisky from the old Brora distillery, which was closed in 1983 and reopened in 2020.
The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Brora Special Blended Scotch whisky from 2017, with Brora at its heart, is spicy on the nose with sweet smoke and citrus, oranges, honey and wax, the flavour is sweet and creamy with caramel, oak, lemon peel, sultanas, pine nuts and a medium-long, smooth finish.
The limited first release of the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Brora Special Blended Scotch whisky has been packaged as a premium whisky with high quality box and each bottle is also individually numbered.
