A very rare and special vintage 1984 over 16 year old Lagavulin Distillers Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky and the 4th edition of the Special Release from the year 2001 as a 1.0 litre bottling. This almost 17-year-old Lagavulin Islay single malt scotch whisky from the Classic Malts selection of the Islay legend Lagavulin was distilled in the year 1984 and was matured for up to 2 years in European Pedro Ximenez sherry oak casks - these give the whisky more fruit such as sultanas and dried fruit and a syrupy character. The bottling took place in the year 2001 at 43.0% vol. and the batch number lgv.04/468 under the direction of Distiller Manager Donald Renwick.
Ingenious and complex, this exceptional Islay single malt Scotch whisky delivers the special Lagavulin intensity of the old bottlings from the 1970s and early 1980s with elegance and style.
