This tenth Special Release from the 12 Years Cask Strength range is the continuation of a series of special 12 year old bottlings from Lagavulin s distillery stocks, matured in second-fill American oak bourbon casks and has been released annually since 2002. Only available in limited numbers worldwide and a perfect introduction to the magnificence of Lagavulin s classic malt special releases.
This special Lagavulin Islay single malt was distilled in 1998 and bottled with no added colouring or chill filtration in the year 2010 at cask strength 56.5% abv for a most natural character - a sharp, smoky, maritime-influenced whisky and the younger brother of Lagavulin s multi-award winning 16 year old classic.
