A rare vintage 1997 15 year old Lagavulin Islay single malt Scotch whisky as a special bottling for the Islay Jazz Festival 2012, distilled on 7th May 1997 and personally selected by Iain McArthur from Warehouse no. 1 after 15 years of maturation in a refill sherry butt with the cask no. 1894. The magnificent Lagavulin Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky was bottled on 13th June 2012 without the addition of colourants and chill-filtration at cask strength 54.5% vol. in an edition of only 624 individually numbered bottles and was only available to visitors to the distillery on site.
This special Lagavulin Islay single malt Scotch whisky is one of the few single cask bottlings from Lagavulin, was sold out within a short time and not officially available in stores.
One of the outstanding and rare Lagavulin single cask bottlings from the Islay Jazz Festival special release series, an absolutely magnificent Islay single malt Scotch whisky and a special highlight for connoisseurs, discerning whisky collectors and lovers of excellent old Scotch whiskies.
