A very rare vintage 1988 21 year-old Laphroaig Islay single cask whisky, which was distilled in the year 1988 and after 21 years of maturation in a refill hogshead and a finish in refill sherry wood bottled in July 2009 in a limited edition of only 214 bottles in the Old Malt Cask single cask bottling series as commemorative bottling for the 60th Anniversary of Douglas Laing without the addition of dyes and chill filtration at cask strength 52.1% abv.
In the Commemorative Bottling series for the 60th Anniversary, Douglas Laing bottled from June to November 2009 six selected single cask whiskies from Macallan, Laphroaig, Port Ellen and Glen Grant in limited editions and a special bottle-design.
