A rare vintage 1994 over 12 year old Laphroaig Highgrove Islay single malt Scotch whisky from the Prince Charles Highgrove range, distilled on 27th June 1994 and bottled after 14 years maturation in an oak cask with cask no. 7229 with no added colouring and chill filtration at 46.0% vol. in an edition of 280 individually numbered bottles.
This Laphroaig Islay Single Malt Scotch whisky was distilled 2 days before HRH Prince Charles' famous visit to the Islay distillery to receive the royal commission in 1994. Wonderful, very mineral with iodine with just a hint of the old fruitiness, one of the fine single cask whiskies from Laphroaig's Highgrove series from the 1990s for connoisseurs, whisky collectors and lovers of fine old Scotch whiskies.
