A old and very rare vintage 1966 19 year old Longmorn-Glenlivet Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the early Half Moon 2nd collection, which was matured for 19 years in a sherry cask and was bottled in the year 1985 at cask strength 55.0% vol. from the legendary Italian whisky importer Moon Import and Pepi Mongiardino in an edition of only 800 individually numbered bottles.
Pepi Mongiardino bottled his first whisky after the death of the great Silvano Samaroli in the early 1980s, at the time under the title Half Moon. The first bottles of Moon Import still had simply designed labels, later Pepi designed the labels with pictures from historical books. The famous series with the birds, animals, costumes and the sea got their labels from pictures he discovered in an 18th century German encyclopaedia. These iconic designs, combined with the quality of the bottled whisky, have made Moon Import s popularity grow steadily.
