A rare and collectible vintage 2001 8 year old Longrow Campbeltown Single Cask Scotch Whisky, which was matured for over 8 years in a select Shiraz Hogshead and bottled in a limited edition of only 414 bottles for the open day and was only available to visitors to the distillery on site. The exceptional 8 years Longrow Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled in October 2001 and bottled on 20th May 2010 with no colouring or chill filtration at cask strength 58.5% vol.
First distilled in the year 1973, the Longrow single malt Scotch whisky is a double-distilled, smoky single malt produced at the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. The malt is peat-dried for up to 48 hours to give the whisky a unique Campbeltown-style smoky character.
The special and limited single cask bottlings from Longrow and Springbank are usually sold out within a short period of time and are among the most sought-after examples among connoisseurs, the discerning whisky collector and lovers of fine old Scotch whiskies.
