A terrific 21-year-old Longrow Campbeltown single malt Scotch whisky and the 2nd bottling from Longrow s 21 years limited release series, which was matured 95% in sherry and 5% in bourbon casks and bottled on 20th October 2020 without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at 46.0% vol.
First distilled in the year 1973, the Longrow single malt Scotch whisky is a double-distilled, smoky single malt produced at the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. The malt is peat-dried for up to 48 hours to give the whisky a unique Campbeltown-style smoky character.
The 2020 limited release of the 21 Years Longrow Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch whisky has excellent balance and complexity and has an intriguing, complex nose with subtle peat smoke, sweet sherry, spices, ripe pineapple, brown sugar and toffee, in the taste it shows notes of dark forest fruits, red apple, oranges, berries, some pepper with a rich, warming and dry finish with fine sweetness and spices.
