A very rare and exclusive vintage 1968 35 year old Macallan Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky from the famous Peerless Cask Strength Rare Auld single cask limited edition by Duncan Taylor, distilled in June 1968 and bottled after over 35 years of maturation in a selected oak cask with the cask no. 5591 in January 2004 without the addition of colourants and chill-filtration at cask strength 41.0% vol. in an edition of only 272 individually hand-numbered bottles.
The whiskies offered between 2002 and 2011 by Duncan Taylor in the Peerless Cask Strength Rare Auld Edition acquired by Abe Rosenberg since the early 1960s come from the more than 4000 casks of selected premium distilleries, such as Aberlour, Ben Riach, Bowmore, Brora, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caperdonich, Clynelish, Dallas Dhu, Dalmore, Glen Grant, Glen Moray, Glenburgie, Glenesk, Glenlivet, Glenlossie, Glenrothes, Highland Park, Inchgower, Knockando, Linlithgow, Laphroaig, Longmorn, Macallan, Macduff, Miltonduff, Old Pulteney, Springbank, Strathisla, Strathmill, Tamdhu and Tomatin and are all bottled as single cask whiskies in limited editions.
