A rare vintage 1988 16 year old Macallan Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky from independent bottler Murray McDavid under the direction of whisky legend Jim McEwan, distilled in 1988 and after a long maturation in a Bourbon Cask and a Port Cask finish, bottled in 2004 without colouring or chill filtration in the Maverick Single Cask Limited Edition at 46.0% vol.
In the limited Maverick Single Cask series, only selected single malts from the distilleries Auchroisk, Dufftown, Glen Garioch, Caol Ila as well as Macallan were offered by Murray McDavid in 2004.
This exceptional Macallan Highland single malt Scotch whisky is rarely found today and, with its extraordinary port-cask finish, is one of the most sought-after single malts from Macallan among connoisseurs and whisky collectors.
