Macallan launched the exclusive Macallan Boutique Collection at the opening of the first Macallan Boutique at Taiwan Taoyuan Airport in 2016 and this is the second release from the year 2017 of the Limited Boutique Collection series. This limited edition Macallan Highland single malt whisky was created from special casks reserved for distinguished visitors and guests of Easter Elchie House and the limited Macallan Boutique Collection was exclusive to Travel Retail and only available at the first Macallan store opened in October 2016 with Everrich Duty Free at Taiwan Taoyuan Airport.
The Macallan Boutique Collection release 2017 batch no. 2 is a amber-coloured full-bodied, rich and smooth Highland single malt whisky at powerful 56.8% ABV with a flavour of spice and fruit with subtle notes and a medium to long, smooth and warming finish with charred oak. The bottle label features an elegant sketch of the Easter Elkies house and a capsule strip that allows a personal message for the recipient.
