The Macallan Cask Strength Sherry Oak Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was matured in selected sherry casks from Jerez and bottled uncoloured without chill filtration at cask strength with 59.0% abv in the year 2012 in a limited version with 75cl exclusively for Remy Cointreau in New York for the American market and has since become one of the coveted and rare bottlings of Macallan with its extraordinary mahogany colour and complex aromas.
The sherry casks selected for this special Macallan by Whisky Maker Bob Dolgarno have matured for up to 15 years and this rare bottling is one of the best single malt from Macallan and shows a perfect combination of sherry, malt, wood spice with a unique dryness, roundness and depth.
