The Macallan Edition No.1 Highland Single Malt is the first of a series of annual limited releases and created in the year 2015 by the eponymous master whisky maker and distillery's manager Bob Dalgarno. The first release from the year 2015 in the Limited Edition series focused on the importance of cask selection is a blend of eight different cask types and sizes, presented here in perfect success. The casks used for this exclusive Macallan Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky come from Bodegas Tevasa, Toneleria Hudo, Vasyma, J and M Martin and Conzales Byass and were assembled by The Macallan's Master Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno from European and American first and second fill sherry butts, puncheons and hogsheads. The exceptional oak cask types from five different Spanish bodegas provide a distinctive character and show the special dynamic of the Macallan Edition No.1 Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky.
