A rare and magnificent 12 year old Macallan Sherry Wood Highland single malt Scotch whisky and the classic Macallan at 43.0% vol. in a very rare in an early 0.75l / 26 2/3 OZS. version with the gold scew cap and a beautiful dark amber colour, which was distilled in the early 1960s and imported for the German market by Pro Nobilitate Ebert, Hainzl und Co. in Hamburg in the mid to late 1970s.
The 12 years Macallan Sherry Wood Single Malt Scotch whisky matured for at least 12 years in hand-selected sherry oak casks from Jerez in Spain and was for many years an integral part of the Macallan range alongside the world-famous 18 years Macallan Sherry Oak Single Malt. The old and early Macallan Sherry Wood Single Malt Scotch whiskies from the 1970s/1980s and early 1990s impressively demonstrate the exceptional quality and original character of the fine old Spanish sherry casks and are now particularly sought after by connoisseurs and enthusiasts.
