The Macallan Oscuro Decanter The 1824 Collection Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky comprises distillates from vintages between 1987 and 1997 and is the first bottling from the year 2015 of the 1824 Collection Masters Series in the exceptional crystal decanter and the heavy luxurious presentation box, which was predominantly matured in 1st fill Oloroso sherry casks and is part of a special limited series for Global Travel Retail, which was not officially available on the European market.
The largest and most famous of all distilleries in Scotland - Macallan, sets new standards in whisky from Speyside with its Oscuro from the Macallan 1824 Collection series. Matured exclusively in the best Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks available on the market and bottled in a limited edition at 46.5% vol. with no added colourings and no chill filtration, this Macallan Scotch Whisky promises the highest level of enjoyment in every conceivable way. The Macallan Oscuro Master Series Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is part of a line of No Age Statement Whisky with colour in the product name. The darker the colour, more mature the Scotch is. This makes the Macallan Oscuro - whose Spanish name translates as dark - one of the oldest distillates in the limited special series.
It enchants with its dark, polished copper tone and with the complex, finesse-rich drinking experience. This incomparable whisky from Speyside has notes of dried fruits, berries, oak and vanilla sweetness in the aroma. These are joined by jam, cocoa and spices. Similar nuances are found in the taste, accompanied by malt, chocolate, sherry, biscuits, cinnamon and pepper. The finish is long, warming and intense with a little smoke.
