A rare and great vintage 1986 25 year old Monymusk Single Barrel Jamaican Rum, distilled on 8th June 1986 and bottled after more than 25 years of maturation in a bourbon barrel with cask no. 10 on 28th September 2011 in the limited individual single bask bottling series as an independent bottling by A. D. Rattray without the addition of colourants and chill filtration at 46.0% vol. in an edition of only 295 bottles.
Since 2002, A. D. Rattray has been presenting special single malt whiskies from selected distilleries in limited editions in the individual cask bottling edition and this great Monymusk Jamaican Single Barrel Rum is one of the few rums from this special series by A. D. Rattray that is well known among connoisseurs.
This exquisite vintage 1986 25 years Monymusk Single Barrel Jamaican Rum from the 2010s is rarely found today and shines in the nose deep, rich and complex with fruity notes of steeped sultanas and pineapple, the taste shows spicy wood, Christmas fruits and banoffee pie with a long dry finish - an outstanding old Jamaica rum!
