A very rare and highly collectable vintage 1966 32 years-old Springbank Local Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured over 32 years in a bourbon cask with cask no. 1966 500 and bottled in an limited edition of only 502 bottles in August 1998. The old local barley bottlings, especially from 1965 and 1966 by Springbank, are nowadays synonymous with the outstanding quality of this distillery, and are rightly regarded as a reference for particularly glorious days and old-style whiskies of a class of their own.
The barley used for this legendary whisky is grown one hundred percent in the surrounding countryside and processed in the distillery. The 1966 32 years Springbank Local Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled a pot still from pure barley in February 1966 and bottled without addition of dyes and chill filtration in August 1998 at cask strength 54.2% vol, comes in a beautiful wooden box and is a highlight in every whisky collection.
