A very rare and exceptional vintage 1970 20 year old Springbank Campbeltown Pure Barley single malt Scotch whisky, matured for over 20 years in a selected bourbon cask with the cask no. 3341 and bottled in a limited edition of 750 individually numbered 75cl bottles in May 1991. The old Springbank Pot Still Pure Barley bottlings from the 1960s and early 1970s are today synonymous with the outstanding quality of this distillery and are quite rightly regarded as a reference to particularly glorious days and exclusive old style whiskies in a class of their own.
One hundred per cent of the barley used for this legendary Springbank single malt Scotch whisky is grown in the surrounding area and processed at the distillery. The vintage 1970 20 years Springbank Pure Barley Single Malt was distilled in a pot still in December 1970 and bottled in May 1991 without the addition of colouring agents and chill filtration at 46.0% vol. in a limited edition and is a highlight in any whisky collection.
