A rare vintage 1996 10 year old Springbank Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled in 1996 and after 10 years of maturation in a sherry cask with cask no. 578, bottled in November 2006 as a private bottling for the Freitagstreff in Mainz-Mombach by Springbank in a limited edition without added colouring or chill filtration at cask strength 57.2% vol. Despite its young age, a beautiful sherry cask matured Springbank Single Malt Scotch Whisky that impressively presents the special Springbank character.
The so-called private bottling formerly used by some distilleries to refinance, the freshly bottled whisky in one or more barrels were sold through the intermediary of a whisky trader or broker has to his birth and was then allowed to mature in the duty-free warehouse of the distillery.
