The 21 years Springbank Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch whisky was for the first time bottled in the year 1985 and belongs since 2012 again to the standard range of Springbank, the maturation takes place predominantly in a combination of selected sherry, bourbon, rum and port casks.
This delicious 21 years limited edition 2017 Springbank Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch whisky has a nose with lots of herbs, menthol, chilli and subtle smoke, after some time it shows fine orange aromas, ripe fruits and caramel, the taste is oily and rich with blood oranges, bananas, apricots, candied apples, some leather and wonderfully sweet smoke, the finish is very long with honey sweetness, liquorice, sea salt, dark chocolate and mineral flavours - a complex and fine Campbeltwown single malt with great body and the typical facets of the Springbank distillery!
