A extremely rare and highly collectable vintage 1999 14 year-old Springbank Local Barley Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled in September 1999 and after 14 years maturation in a selected refill sherry butt, bottled without added colouring or chill filtration in April 2014 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Springbank Society at natural cask strength 57.8% abv in an edition of only 546 bottles.
The barley used for this whisky is grown 100 per cent locally and processed directly at the distillery. The barley is then malted on their own malt floors using traditional production techniques before it is turned into spirit, matured into whisky and bottled on-site, making this a 100% Campbeltown single malt. This exceptional Springbank Local Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky was not officially available in the market and wonderfully shows the special and unique Springbank character.
