A marvellous vintage 1963 42 year old Strathisla Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 1963 and bottled after 42 years maturation in selected 1st fill sherry casks by Gordon and MacPhail as a licensed bottling in the Distillery Label Vintage Limited Edition range in the year 2005 with no added colouring in a limited edition at 40.0% vol.
The independent bottler Gordon and MacPhail bottled the single malts for many distilleries decades ago and has a large stock of old superb whiskies as well as many rarities. Each distillery was given an individual label, which was often considered the original bottling because no other bottlings existed and Gordon and MacPhail bottled this Strathisla under licence, hence the old original label on the bottle.
A great vintage 1963 and at 42 years old a particularly old Strathisla Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the oldest Highland Malt distillery in Scotland, one of only 12 known vintage 1963 bottlings from Strathisla and rare expression of whisky history for connoisseurs, the discerning whisky collector and lovers of exclusive old Scotch whiskies.
