A rare old and stunning vintage 1986 1.0 litre-bottling of Talisker s Double Matured 1st Special Release Distillers Edition Limited Edition Single Malt Scotch from the year 1997 and the 1st bottling of the Talisker Distillers Edition range without barcode on the backlabel. This 11-year-old Talisker single malt scotch whisky of the Classic Malts of Scotland Selection from the Isle of Skye was distilled in the year 1986, matured in American and European oak casks and was finished for at least 3 months in Amoroso sherry casks - these give the whisky more fruit such as sultanas and dried fruit and a syrupy character. The bottling was made in 1997 by Master Distiller M. Copeland at 45.8% abv. and batch number TD-S: 5AM.
The Talisker Distillers Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky combines the smoky maritime flavours of the island distillery with fruity sherry notes to create a wonderfully complex single malt with a robust yet charming character.
