A rare old vintage 1989 13 year old 1.0 litre-bottling of Talisker s Double Matured Special Release Distillers Edition Isle of Skye Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the year 2002. This great 13-year-old Talisker single malt scotch whisky of the Classic Malts selection from the Isle of Skye was distilled in 1989, matured in American and European oak casks and was finished for at least 3 months in Amoroso sherry casks - these give the whisky more fruit such as sultanas and dried fruit and a syrupy character. The bottling was made in the year 2002 at 45.8% abv and the batch number TD-S: 5DP.
The Talisker Distillers Edition combines the smoky maritime flavours of the island distillery with fruity sherry notes to create a wonderfully complex single malt with a robust yet charming character.
