W.L. Weller 12 Years Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 45.0% Vol. -the multi-award-winning Wheated Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from the Buffalo Trace Distillery!
A rare and stunning 12 year old W.L. Weller Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey at 45.0% vol. in the old equipment and the squat bottle from the year 2016, produced by the distilling masters of the Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky.
The world-famous and multi-award-winning Straight Bourbon Whiskey with its high proportion of corn, which is mandatory for bourbon from Kentucky, is additionally distilled with wheat instead of rye, which is why it is also called the original wheated Bourbon. The W.L. Weller Bourbon Whiskeys is also affectionately referred to as the poor man s Pappy by connoisseurs and aficionados, as the same recipe as the Pappy van Winkle is to be used.
The W.L. Weller matured for 12 years in new American white oak barrels and the result is a wonderfully warming and extremely complex bourbon whiskey with vanilla, nutty almond notes, cream caramel and well-balanced fruit. The palate shows the character marked by the use of wheat, which is reflected in its sweet and velvety texture. The finish is also extremely smooth and long, is marked by a characterful oak note and is reminiscent of the great performance of a Pappy Van Winkle - a terrific bourbon for connoisseurs and collectors of first-class bourbon whiskeys.
A beautiful old expression of the 12 Years W.L. Weller Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from the famous Buffalo Trace distillery for connoisseurs, the discerning whiskey collector and lovers of fine old bourbon whiskeys - rarely found today!
