William Larue Weller 1997 Fall of 2007 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 58.95% Vol. - the whiskey legend from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection and one of Worlds best Bourbon Whiskey - only 4250 Bottles!
A fantastic uncut and unfiltered vintage 1991 over 10 years old William Larue Weller Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey at 58.95% vol. and the 3rd release of the legendary Buffalo Trace Antique Collection from the year 2007 - an absolute rarity, almost impossible to find worldwide today and one of the best Bourbon Whiskeys.
Born in 1825, William Larue Weller was one of the early distilling pioneers in Kentucky. After serving in the Louisville Brigade during the 1840s, William Larue Weller remained in Louisville and continued his family heritage of whiskey distilling. Mr. Weller was famous for being the firts distiller to produce Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey using wheat instead of rye in the mash bill. As the most distinguished distiller of this time, William Larue Weller spent many years educating consumers about the different styles of bourbon, and the special flavous that wheat imparted to his whiskey. The William Larue Weller line has always been a bit special among Buffalo Trace s offerings. Weller himself is often credited as the bottler who invented wheated bourbon, so it is appropriate that Weller is Buffalo Trace s signature wheated line. Add to that the notoriety Weller bourbons received last year when first Esquire and then numerous copycats declared it the accessible substitute for the elusive Pappy Van Winkle whiskeys, notoriety that caused a run on the liquor stores and a short-term shortage. If you follow that logic, that should make the Antique Collection s William Larue Weller the closest thing you can get to Pappy Van Winkle. The William Larue Weller limited edition 2007 is an extra special installment. After spending 10 years and 3 months on the 9th floor of Warehouses I, this legendary bourbon whiskey was bottled uncut and unfiltered at 117.9 proof (58.95% vol.).
A magnificent and extremely rare over 10 year old uncut and unfiltered William Larure Weller Bourbon Whiskey from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, one of the highest rated American whiskeys, almost ingenious and an exceptional extremely rare hand-made Bourbon Whiskey for connoisseurs, the discerning whiskey collector and lovers of fine old Bourbon Whiskeys!
