The 12 year-old Suntory Yamazaki Japanese single malt whisky is aged in a variety of casks including ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and Japanese mizunara oak. The Yamazaki 12 year old is a pioneering malt in Japan, for which Suntory deserve great credit. Leading Japanese Whisky with aromas of dried fruit and honey. It has a delicate, mellow taste with a lingering woody dry finish. Ever since Yamazaki 12-year-old whisky was highly praised for its noble aroma at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) in 2003, Yamazaki whisky has been gaining a well deserved place in the hearts and glasses of whisky connoisseurs around the globe.
The 12 years Yamazaki Japan single malt has won numerous awards - Gold Medal in the International Spirits Competition in 2003 and 2010, Double Gold in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2009 and 2013 and recently it won the Gold in the 2014 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
